Halcyon Lotus

I just realized that most people won't get the whole "halcyon lotus" thing without a bit of explanation. It's basically the equivalent of "tranquil lotus" or "peaceful lotus". I have always loved lotus flowers, and, after taking a course in Eastern religions, I've really embraced the whole tranquilty thing. My life is a tumultuous sea of emotions most days, and I've found that trying to incorporate some degree of serenity has really had a positive influence on my mood and my overall outlook. So, "halcyon lotus" isn't so much something that I am, but rather something that I strive to become. Does that make sense? =)

Yeah, sure it makes sense. But you do got it right when you said you're a sea of emotions most days... though I'd say more like everyday. =P

Ahhh... how I love the Eastern Religions. Was it a wonderfully-fantastical-mind-altering kind of class?

Halcyon Lotus is a beautiful name. Totally makes sense.

Love to you.

The picture itself is actually part of a larger picture that I found on Deviant Art. I wish I could claim to be that talented, but I have to give credit where credit is due. =) I just cropped it down to an appropriate size and then photoshopped the Halcyon Lotus into it. I'm glad you like it!
